The two, most powerful

Barn Braining

Welcome to my site!

Barn Braining was created from a 'barn storming' session!
I had the idea of getting people together, finding alternative low cost energy methods, gardening, farming, organics, homesteading and much more!

I hope you'll stick around, read a little, contribute if you like (see 'contact' or 'group' tabs) and join us!!!

Today in history (03/08/1913) the Internal Revenue
Service began to levy and collect income taxes.
Now, don't it make you wonder how our government
made it from 1789 to 1913 without?

I know the first day of Spring is not until the 20th,
but it sure felt good outside here today!
It's funny how a day in the mid to high 50's can
feel almost like a mid summer day at this time!

As I drove down the streets I noticed that
people were outside!  Walking, raking leaves,
picking up sticks and stems from the winter,
some washing their cars, yes, the humans had
returned :)

There are some zones that are ready to start
planting. If you need to know your zone just
click on the 'gardeing' tab here on my site for
a link to the zones in your State.

**March's new moon is on the 15th and the "Full Worm"
Moon is on the 29th. The Full Worm Moon is called such
because the earth is warming and earthworms are beginning
to appear. More Northern tribes called it the Full Crow Moon,
when the sounds of crows signaled the end of winter, or the
Full Crust Moon when snow crusted by thawing during the
day and freezing at night. Also known as the Full Sap Moon
signaling the time to tap maple trees, and the settlers knew
it as the Lenten Moon, signaling the last moon of winter**
